The Netherlands: Amsterdam

Here are photos documenting my travels to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, a windmill village, and a fishing village.

The Netherlands: Windmill Villiage

I visited a historic windmill village and a traditional fishing village in the Netherlands while in Amsterdam. This trip was inspired by a relative of mine who had always wanted to visiting the Netherlands but never had the opportunity to do so in her youth.

The Netherlands: Fishing Village

The second part of my tour included a visit to a traditional fishing village, where it felt as though I had traveled back in time. This village exudes charm and features an active workshop that produces wooden shoes, although the practice is primarily for novelty purposes now.

The Netherlands: Rotterdam

During my visit to the Netherlands, I traveled by train from Amsterdam to Rotterdam, a city that was  destroyed by German bombing in World War II, resulting in its entirely modern architecture.
