Berlin Set-2, Cold War

Exploring Cold War Landmarks Through Photography: Insights into the Berlin Wall, Watch Towers, and Surviving Russian-Designed Structures. The first image features my hand resting on the remnants of the Berlin Wall. This experience made me aware of the lasting impact the Cold War has had on my life, ultimately feeling like a moment of release. Having grown up and served in the military during this period, I realized that for many, the end of the Cold War was not over for many of us. My visit to Russia shortly after revealed that many Russians shared this sentiment as well.

Berlin, Set-3: WWII

Here are photographs showcasing the remnants of World War II. Many structures still display evidence of small arms fire from the Soviet-led Battle of Berlin. The initial images feature the WWII victory memorial established by the Soviet Union, which was situated in the American Sector, leading to complications during the Cold War.

Berlin Set-4, 1936 Olympic Park

The 1936 Olympic Park, located a short train ride from Berlin, remains fully intact and was preserved during World War II. Historical plaques commemorating the 1936 Olympics, including the name of athlete Jesse Owens, are still displayed at the site.
